This means there is something wrong with the way your computer connects to our system, and can lead to problems viewing the live feed, and sending your commentary audio to Spalk.
Usually, this is due to your firewall, router or ISP configuration blocking certain types of network traffic and stopping us from connecting to you.
1. Try running the soundcheck on a different network. This could be on a 4G hotspot, or at your home, work or a friend's WiFi network. If you still get the same error, the problem could be with your PC and network settings. If the problem disappears, chances are it is to do with the network you are using.
1a. I still get the issues on a different network:
- Check your firewall is setup to unblock all network traffic for app.spalk.tv
- Try running this test to see if anything fails: https://networktest.twilio.com/. It should provide useful guidance on how to solve the issues.
- Try a different computer to see if you can find success.
1b. The issues go away on a different network.
- Contact your ISP or network administrator to ask if there is traffic filtering in place, or if they are blocking specific traffic. Ask if traffic to spalk.tv can be unblocked.
- If you are unable to make progress with your provider, consider trialling a new network provider.
