In a live broadcast, it may be necessary to restart a live output to resolve technical issues downstream or make changes to the configuration. Restarting an output is a simple process that can be completed from the Spalk dashboard. However, it is important to note that this will cause an interruption in the broadcast and should be performed only when necessary.
Instructions:
- Locate the output you want to restart in the outputs tab of the Spalk Dashboard.
- Click the button labelled "Restart".
Important Notes:
- Restarting an output will cause a temporary interruption in the output and may interrupt viewers downstream.
- Other live outputs will not be affected by the restart, and will continue running.
- The commentator will not be affected by the restart.
- The status of the restarted output may not change from "LIVE" to "INITIALISING", as it can often reconnect downstream very quickly.
